Technology for reducing Nutrient Pollution
 
The technology, known as GreenSeeker, is a computer program that uses sensors on a fertilizer spreader to “read” plants’ needs. The sensors then adjust the application of fertilizer to match plants’ requirements in real time. Farms in Maryland’s Eastern Shore are using this technology to reduce nutrient pollution in the Chester River.
