Bacteria-coated Nanofiber Electrodes Digest Pollutants

Researchers at Cornell have created electro-spun carbon nanofiber electrodes and coated them with a conductive polymer, PEDOT. This coating causes an electrically active layer of bacteria to grow and digest pollutants in wastewater while producing electricity.
